Do you know that feeling you get when two days before your daugther's garden wedding you call your electrician up to find out when he will be there to put in all the outlets for the outdoor lights and he tells you he has hayfever and can't make it? You know, the electrician that came out two weeks earlier and bid the job and said no problem. Yes, that feeling. No outdoor light for an outdoor nighttime wedding party? That's called full 100% Dad failure. I would never be able to show my face to the family again. And yes, this happened. But I was saved. I was saved by Stefan who had recently done some electricity work at our Lafayette home, but I was too shy to ask him to do the electrical work at my ranch an hour outside of the Bay area thinking it was too far and I did not want to put him in an uncomfortable situation of having to say no, so I didn't even ask him, and I rather used a recommended local. So once the local decided to have "hayfever" and not show up, my wife called Stefan in a panic and he was out the very next day to get all of the lightening done for the wedding.
